Thierry Henry is no longer a national hero after his outrageous handball which led to france getting through to the world cup.

I think cheating is low anyway but on something with such a magnitude as the world cup qualifiers is un forgiveable, I once cheated at monopoly and felt bad about that!
I very much doubt mr Henry will ever be able to command the same respect he once did, this has killed him off in my eyes, how can you return to football after such a thing, it harks back to when Ronaldo got Rooney sent off in 2006, and recieved an un welcome return to britain by fans.
The Irish PM Brian Cowen has vowed to raise the scandal with french president Sarkozy at an EU summit, but will it do any good? doubt it, what’s done is done i’m afraid, a re match is highly unlikely even though Ireland were sticthed up big time, it would be a miracle if it is allowed.
Fair play to the french supporters though who are expressing there disgust at the tawdry way in which they got through, it’s nice to see football chivalry is not dead!
Cheating is un acceptable, but will a re match be allowed? I don’t think so do you?
