5 Sweet Gadgets For Your Car

Any excuse to overload your cars cigarette lighter and clutter up your dash board even more is a good thing right? Well it all depends on what it is. My car has already got Sat Nav, phone charger and a trusty police camera detection thing plugged into it, but these gadgets make me want to run down to the shops to buy some extension sockets.

1) In Car Microwave RRP £130

I’ve been waiting for this. Just imagine your driving down the road and some idiot has caused the traffic to cue up as far as the eye can see. You get to show off how extensive your vocabulary for swear words can be and become more irritable than a woman with PMT. But whats this? All is not lost, you can sit back and relax because you can now cook your very favourite comfort food in you car (as long it’s microwavable). You can cook a pie in 4 minutes, heat up tea or coffee while on the move or while your stopped somewhere. Have the luxury of hot food while in your car. Just don’t spill it on your self though because you’ll be that idiot that’s caused that traffic jam next.

2) Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset RRP £50

This ones not just for cars but a hands free set is a must if you want to take calls while driving. The thing is with the interference of sound pollution the hearing difficulty level go’s to “complete crap!” This gadget nicks a bit of military skill and is able to block out surrounding noise ten times better than any of it’s competitors. It looks quite cool as well. So hopefully with this set your calls can go straight down to business rather than a set of continuous ‘hello’s’ of different lengths and tones.

3) Automatic Car Light’s On and Off Kit RRP £40

You know that all the latest cars have this “clever” ability of switching there lights on and off without lifting a finger, jealous? Well no more! With this bit of kit you will have the technology for your car as well. It uses optical sensors which you place in your window. It detects the light levels, if they drop it switches your side lights on to low beam automatically, and if they rise again they will switch back off. It’s a great piece of kit if your forgetful when it comes to switching on your lights especially if it’s been a long car journey and the sun is setting, it’s easy for it to slip your mind or maybe you can’t be arsed to switch them on, Really? Your that lazy?? Anyway a really helpful bit of Kit for your car.

4) Breathalyzer Key chain RRP £5.45

I do not condone drink driving of any sort. In my opinion if your going out to drink, don’t drive at all, but I know people do, whether they are within the limit or not. There are lots of variations of personal breathalyzers on the market, but I have chosen this Keyring one. I like this gadget because it gives people the chance to think twice before getting behind the wheel after a drink and it’s best to find out yourself than the rozzers, and risk points on your licence, a fine and a possible night behind bars. You could use it on yourself or on friends to keep them safe. You blow into the Keyring for 5 seconds then your results are displayed by the coloured lights. Green means your safe to drive. Yellow means your on the limit or just over, that it would be safer to wait and try again later. Red means it’s unsafe for you to get behind the wheel of a vehicle, keep well away or let someone else drive for you. It also has a Stopwatch and light built in for convenience. FYI!! The breathalyzer Keyring results are for reference only. Legal responsibility is up to you. I would rather pay a small price for piece of mind than get something much worse off the coppers.

5) The Amazing Jelly Sticky Pad RRP£5

What a name, but it’s one of those things where it does exactly what it says on the box. The pad can stick to any dashboard by molding itself for a perfect fit and can be removed without taking half the car with it. You can put virtually anything on it. The Pad’s purpose is to stop your items moving around every time you take a corner or speed hump. It can hold phones, iPods, loose change, wallets, etc etc which makes it incredibly handy.
