Dating Site Boots 5,000 Members For Being ‘Fat’
”I was over at one of my favourite sites the other day (justaguything.com) and was reading a post on how a dating site kicked off 5,000 members for getting too fat over the Christmas period, so I decided to delve further into this matter.
Apparently the dating site called beautifulpeople.com is a dating site that only accepts what they call ‘good looking’ people. They endorse the belief that looks are just as important as personality. Below is a statement taken from the sites home page:
Welcome to BeautifulPeople
The sexiest website in the world today
- Do looks matter to you, when it comes to selecting a partner?
- Do you want to guarantee your dates will always be beautiful?
- No more filtering through unattractive people on mainstream sites
- Meet beautiful people locally and from around the world – now
- Attend exclusive events and private parties
Now I can understand the need for such a site, mainly for the shallow self centered tossers that drive TVR’s and smoke black cigarettes, but what is completely unforgivable is the fact the moderators of the site decided to boot off 5,000 of its members because they had put on a bit of pudding over the festive period. Now I don’t regard myself as a bronzed Adonis and nor do I care, to me the dating game should be about finding someone special you can relate too, sure looks are important but they are not the sole attribute to finding a successful partner as this site suggests.
I dont think it’s right, and I sent the site administrators a pretty shitty email about it too, they haven’t got back to me yet, i’ll let you know as soon as they do. One question I do have though is, what if there was a dating site for fat ugly people, and some of those fat ugly members decided to go to the gym, would they get booted off the site also?
I would love to know what you guys think of it, should they have kicked off the members?”
I can see them doing it. They did create a site outlining their prerequisites to be a member. Maybe it is a shallow dating site to have, but they own it legitimately at have every right to set the standards for their members. It would be like someone joining a gun enthusiast club with no interest in guns whatsoever.
Not trying to gun down your post, Adam, and I agree that the site is probably full of stuck up losers, but keep in mind that the people that got booted probably weren’t the nicest people either. I’m sure some of those 5,000 got a nice little taste of karma, in fact.
You want to see a dating site that will get you more fired up than this? Check out ashleymadison.com. They have an Affair Guarantee Package where you pay them $249USD ($257CAD for me or £156GBP for you) and they guarantee you’ll find someone to cheat with in 3 months or you get your money back.
Wow there is a site that offers that kind of stuff!? lol, puts this site in the shade. Cant believe that someone would actually pay money to a site to find them someone to have an affair with, just goes to show there is a market for practically anything on the internet these days.
If it’s sex related, people will pay for it.
There are some filthy buggers out there, whats the name of the site again? lol
