How to Save Money On Shaving – Reuse Your Blades!

Well It seems all the latest fuss in the shaving world is about the dollar shave club. The company created an awesome viral video campaign selling they monthly membership for shaving blades.

For $1 per month(plus shipping) you can have some handsome blades shipped to your doorstep. It seems like a good deal and actually is – if you actually like to use disposable blades over and over again.

But I’ve been using a simple trick my father taught me in the past that allows me to reuse a disposable razor for roughly 6 months.  You simply slide the razor 10-15 times on your arm opposite to the cutting side of the blade so that you don’t hurt yourself. This does the trick and it only takes 5 seconds. This simple technique sharpens the blades and will let you achieve that close shave you’re looking for even with a used up disposable razor Now you’re looking at roughly 20 cents per month for a good shave(plus shaving cream). Kick ass savings. It basically changed changed the way I shave and makes the dollar shave club pretty pointless once you know this little trick!
